After nearly 95 years with us, Elsie Mae Sis Callier went Home to meet her Lord on August 23, 2010. Born September 5, 1915, she was the oldest daughter of Freddie Sr. and Mathilde Hebert Nezat. She married Wilsey Callier and they raised three children, Audrey, W.J., and Vicki in her beloved Port Barre. She loved to cook for family and friends and they loved when she did. When anyone stopped to see if she wanted to go shopping, she was always ready. A selftaught seamstress, she found great pleasure in making beautiful items, but she found true joy in making quilts with her quilting friends. She was a member Sacred Heart Church Friends Helping Friends and the Rosary Group.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter and soninlaw, Audrey and Raphael Thibodeaux of Port Barre grandchildren and spouses Randy and Carrie Thibodeaux, Karen and Carlos Benoit, Pam and Robert McFarland, Brent and Becky Thibodeaux, Lance and Debbie Callier, and Owen Callier and Melania Ducote great grandchildren Jacob, Kristen, and Jessica Thibodeaux, Jared and Erin Benoit, Ashley and Koy McFarland, Brock Thibodeaux, Robbie, Blake, Ryan, Scott Callier, and three stepgreat grandchildren Baughn, Jay, and Ryan and brother and sisterinlaw Stanwood and Vera Nezat and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children W. J. Vicki, brothers Fred Nezat, Jr. and Curtis Nezat sisters, Mary Lee Leger and Mattie Broussard.
A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
