Elouise Lastrapes

Opelousas A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, for Elouise Lastrapes. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Landry Cemetery. Rev. Father Paul Bienvenu will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.
Ms. Elouise passed away on September 7, 2013 at Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro, at the age of 83. She was a former member of the Womens Auxiliary.

Survivors include children, Marlo Lastrapes and wife, Andrea of Opelousas, Cornell Lastrapes and wife, Anna of Opelousas, Collette Duffy and husband, Tony of Opelousas, and Karen Mouton and husband, Harold of Lafayette, sister, Joyce Marks of Baytown, TX., sister in law, Rosie Lee Richard of Baytown, TX., grandchildren, Destinee, Torri, Alexis, Shannon, Casey, Juan, Angelica, Desiree, Hennessa great grandchildren, Christian, Gavin, Carington, Lil Casey and Lil Juan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Viola Singleton Richard, Sr., brother, Bernice Richard, Jr.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be, Marlo Lastrapes, Tony Duffy, Jr., Juan Lastrapes, Casey Mouton, Eric Mouton, Gregory Chenier.
