Ella Mary Andrus

Port Barre- A funeral service for, Ella Mary Andrus, age 74, which passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Funeral services will be at 11: 00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2009, in the Courtableau Baptist Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Krotz Springs.

Br. Shelby Andre will officiate the funeral service.

Ella was a long time resident of Port Barre. She enjoyed all outdoors activities; camping, fishing, craw fishing and cooking for all her family and friends. Ella was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She will be sadly missed all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband: Earl Lee Andrus, of Port Barre, one son: Leon Sonny Andrus Sr. and wife Karen of Port Barre, three daughters: Dianna L. Bourque, and husband Gerald, of Port Barre, Jerry Andrus of Port Barre, and Mary Berlin and husband David of Denham Springs, LA, one foster brother: Adolph Andrus Jr, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; William Willie Johnson and Nettie Johnson Somerville, her step father Ralph Somerville, her sisters: Laura Shoemaker, Emily Martin, Irene Froiu, Olivia Guillory and Agnes Bellemin, and her brother; Joseph Johnson.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Courtableau Baptist Church in Port Barre on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. with an all night wake.
