Elizabeth Forbes

Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Elizabeth Louise Forbes on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau. Deacon David Menard will conduct the service. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau.

Ms. Forbes entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2021 at the age of 58, at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Michael Forbes of Opelousas; daughters, Shunperra Forbes, Charelle Forbes, and Tisa Forbes all of Opelousas; brothers, Charles Ray Forbes and wife, Adrienne of Sunset and Gilbert Forbes and wife, Shavonne of Lafayette; sisters, Roseanna Lilly and husband, Leo of Carencro, Betty Waters and husband, Frank of Jennings, Joann Trahan of Lafayette and Cynthia Smith and husband, John of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sons, James Anthony Forbes and Quintin Forbes; parents, Clarence and Rosemary Forbes; brothers, Michael Forbes, Ronnie Forbes and Clarence Forbes, Jr.; brother-in-law, Danny Trahan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. The rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. by Deacon David Menard.
