Elaine Mengarelli

Krotz Springs -A Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine Mengarelli will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017, in the St. Anthony Catholic Church. Fr. Michael DeBlanc will conduct the Mass. Interment will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Krotz Springs.

Elaine a native of Krotz Springs; passed away in her sleep on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home, at the age of 84.

Elaine is survived by her children, Steve Mengarelli (Kim), of Baton Rouge, Terry Mengarelli of Opelousas, and Tina Mengarelli of Baton Rouge, 8 eight grandchildren, Dane Mengarelli (Genee), Bria Mengarelli Majors, (Anthony), Gabriel Mengarelli, Samuel Mengarelli, Katie Diesi Trahan (Jason), Shelbi Mengarelli Thevenet (Ira), Sophia Mengarelli, and Zachary Mengarelli, and 6 great-grandchildren, Miller and Manning Majors, Mary Katherine, John Parker, Jackson, and Ellis Trahan, and a sister, Daisy Ducote Bourque of Houston, Texas.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Charley Mengarelli, Jr., parents, Elmer Ducote, and Mamie Frederick Ducote, brother, Charles Ducote, and sister, Peggy Ducote Circello, daughter-in-law, Lynette Mengarelli.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Rosary Service will be held at 12:30 p.m.
