Opelousas Funeral services for Elaine Bertrand Leger, age 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Pastor Lee Ray Darbonne will officiate the service.
Elaine was a residence of Opelousas. She died on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Opelousas General Health System. She enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Leger of Houston, TX., Jody Leger and wife, Marie of Houston, TX., Alyson David and husband, Michael of Opelousas, sisters, Verna Ortego of Baton Rouge, and Anna Bell Soileau and husband, Curtis of Opelousas, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Eldon and Angelina Hidalgo Bertrand.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, March 21, 2014, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
