Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Hernandez Naquin, age 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, with a Funeral Service in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Iterment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville Platte, La. Father Paul Metrejean will conduct the Funeral Service.

Ms. Edna, wife of Joseph D. Naquin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 13, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in DelRio, Tx and has been of resident of Opelousas for many years. Ms. Edna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and is going to be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Naquin of Opelousas, daughters, Mary E. Ducote and husband Joey of Moreauville, La., Stephanie Dupre and husband David of Opelousas, Sherri Badeaux and husband Jerry of New Orleans, La. brother, Nazario Hernandez, Jr. of Ville Platte, La. grandchildren, Chelsea Diaz and husband Anthony, Kyle Dupre, Brandon Dupre, Christian Dupre, Shane Ducote.

Ms. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Nazario and June Barrows Hernandez brothers, Joe Hernandez and Pat Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, from 9 am to 2 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
