Eddie Johnson

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Lawrence Johnson, age 67, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Interment will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Father Mark Ledoux will be the celebrant for the Mass.
Eddie was a native and was a longtime resident of Krotz Springs. He died on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Opelousas General Health System. He was a carpenter for many years with the Carpenters Local 1098 of Baton Rouge. He was a past graduate of Melville High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who proudly served his country.
In his spare time, he loved to travel and look at antique cars and trucks. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his family and friends. He was a wonderful and loving husband, and a very devoted father, brother, uncle, friend, grandfather, and greatgrandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Glenda Crooks Johnson of Krotz Springs one son, Eddie Glenn Johnson and wife, Onnia of Krotz Springs one daughter, Angie Marks and husband, Glen of Krotz Springs two brothers: Riley Johnson of Krotz Springs and Ronald Johnson of Pecaniere 5 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery Johnson and Angelic Smith Johnson and one brother, Carlton Johnson.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home, 239 8th Avenue of Krotz Springs beginning on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 10 a.m. with an all night wake until the time of services on Monday.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
