Earnest Doo Fontenot

Opelousas Funeral services for Earnest Doo Fontenot, age 63, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery in Lawtell.
Father Dennis will celebrate the Mass.
Earnest passed away at his home in Lawtell, on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Earnest was a retired farmer and a school bus driver for the St. Landry School System.
Earnest is survived by his brother Wilson Fontenot and his wife Louise of Lawtell, and his sisters Gersey Auzenne and her husband Vursey of Lawtell, and Rosalie Gobert of Crowley, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Ms. Judy Miller, and Melanie, Heather and Glen Guillory, whom he loved as his own children.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents Abner and Versey Frilot Fontenot, and his brothers Arthur and Clarence Fontenot, and his sisterinlaw Eltra Mae Fontenot, and his brotherinlaw Vernon Gobert.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, December 10, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
