Opelousas Funeral services for Drake Lane Richard, 3 months, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Drake was a resident of Sunset and died at 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at his residence.

Survivors include his parents: Christopher Richard and Shawntell B. Hebert Richard of Sunset; one brother, Gage Kameron Richard of Sunset; paternal grandparents: Kathy Richard and Mike Jeffers of Sunset; and Dudley Richard, Jr. and Lisa Leblanc of Port Barre; maternal grandparents: Donald and Elizabeth Hebert of Opelousas; paternal great grandparents: Mary Joyce Bourque of Lafayette; Nora Stoute of Port Barre; and Joe LeBlanc of Opelousas; and maternal great grandparents: Donald and Sandra Ranson of Opelousas; and Barbara and Black Vidrine of Opelousas. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Gabriel Richard, Elizabeth Richard, Paul Richard, Cyclie Leblanc, Tabitha and Mark Vidrine; cousins: Scarlet Richard, McKenzie Richard, Gavin Vidrine, Tanner Vidrine, Adrianna Moten, Ariel Moten, and Ashlynn Richard.

Drake was preceded in death by Simon Hebert, Deloras Ranson, Lucille Bordelon, Dudley Richard, Sr., and Travis Devonte Moten.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, July 12 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.

Donations can be made to family to help defer funeral expenses.
