OpelousasMemorial services for Dr. Juanita Ora Welch Fink will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Rev. Stuart Graves will officiate the services.

Dr. Juanita Ora Welch Fink passed away peacefully on March 4, 2011, in Longville, Louisiana. The eldest daughter of Roy Clyde Welch, Sr. and Almeda Studdard Welch, she was born on June 11, 1924.

She was a registered nurse and a doctor of optometry in 1961 having practiced over 40 years in Opelousas and Lafayette. Juanita was active in many civic organizations including The Eastern Star, Opelousas Garden Club, Bal Masque, Yambilee Association and Opelousas Chamber of Commerce where she was awarded the prestigious Athena Award in 1986. She was also a member of the American Optometric Association and Optometric Association of Louisiana.

She is survived by three sons, Maxwell Fink and wife, Yvonne Stelly Fink Dr. George P. Fink and wife, Tina Guillory Fink and William Fink one daughter, Julann Fink Clark and husband, Bud Clark Grandchildren include: Paul and Bart Fink, Lauren Fink Moss, Joshua and JoHanna Coleman Great grandchildren are Alexander and Amy Fink, Jaelyn and Aidyen Coleman her sister, Scottie Welch Lindstrom and husband, Walter and one brother, Charles B. Welch and wife, Edwina.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, grandfather and grandmother, George Bart and Lillian Studdard and older brother, Roy C. Welch, Jr.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, March 11, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
