Port BarreMemorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Port Barre for Mrs. Dorothy Ostyn Guise, known to many as Dot. Rev. Benji Richard will officiate the services.
Dorothy was a resident of Washington. She passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital, at the age of 74. She was retired from Dr. Van Christian Eye Clinic after working for 20 years.
Survivors include her stepson, Russell Kelly K. Guise and wife, Peggy of Port Barre daughter, Lili Montgomery Hildreth, and husband, Scot of Plano, TX daughterinlaw, Pamela Montgomery of Anniston, Alabama brotherinlaw, Larry Montgomery of Anniston, Alabama 5 grandchildren: Grant Copeland of Plano, TX Cristen Montgomery Strickland and husband, Marcus of Anniston, Alabama Celeste Verrette of Port Barre Jessica Guise of Port Barre and Jacob Guise and wife, Paige of Port Barre and 11 greatgrandchildren: Anna, Silas, and Lilah Strickland Marc Verrette, Christopher Verrette, Kole Verrette, Valarie Robin, Hunter Guise, Russell J. Guise, Natalie Rodriguez, and Allie Savoie.
Preceded in death by her son, Johnny Burns Montgomery stepson, Richard Guise her parents, John Ostyn and Annie Seale Ostyn and grandsoninlaw, Marcus Verrette.
Family gathering will be held in the First Baptist Church of Port Barre on Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
