Dorothy Guillory

Port Barre– A Funeral Service for Dorothy Mae Guillory will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Courtableau Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Keith will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Dorothy, age 69, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Dorothy favorite past times included shopping and knitting. She also enjoyed eating out with her family and friends. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Lester Deshotel of Eunice; sons, Robley Joseph Guilbeau, Jr. of Carencro and Ray Allen Guillory of Port Barre; daughters, Sharon Marie Lagrange of Sunset, Sheryl Hoyt of Duson and Sherry Basco of Alexandria; brothers, Curtis “Neg” Guillory of Erath and Lynn Paul Martin of Livingston; sisters, Marie Guillory of Port Barre and Dora Fisette of Port Barre; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Curley Guillory and Emily Johnston Martin; brother, James Larry Guillory and Glenn Paul Martin; and sister, Cynthia Ann Quebedeaux; and grandparents, Nettie Pierce and Willie Johnson.
