Doris Sibille

Grand Coteau- A Mass of Christian Burial for, Doris Sibille, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018, in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Reverend Steve Kimmons will officiate the Mass. Music selections will be by Jodi Bollich. Rite of Committal will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau.

Doris, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, she was born in Welcome, La., and a longtime resident of Sunset, LA.

Doris was an employee of The Bank of Sunset for 40 years. She was also a member of the Altar Society and the Church Choir.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Healy and husband, Don of Lafayette; grandchildren, Deborah Healy Alleman of Breaux Bridge, David Healy and his wife, Stacy of Carencro, and Jill Healy Morrison of Lafayette; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Healy, Meagan Morrison, Landon Hebert, and Ashton Healy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Adoristine Guidry Chiquet; husband, Donald Sibille; daughter, Deborah Sibille; sisters, Lilly Heltz, Elda Matherne, Annette Trahan, Clothilde Tregre, Rita Thibodeaux, Edna Granier, Maude Prejean, Bertha Castille, and Lillian Keir; and brothers, Jules Chiquet, Eddie Chiquet, and Emile Chiquet.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Prejean, Ricky Arceneaux, James Miceli, David Healy, Wayne Reed and Don Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Olivier, Harold "Mudd" Sibille, Dwight Sibille, Perry Kennerson and Dr. Harold Smith.

The family requests visitation be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Grand Coteau. The Rosary will be prayed by Darrell Burleigh and the Altar Society at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to St. Ignatius School at P.O. Drawer J, Grand Coteau, LA 70541.
