Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for, Doris Fogleman Collins, on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Doris, age 87, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018, in Baton Rouge, La. She was a member of Les Dames D'Etude club, and First Baptist Church of Opelousas for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandkids, reading, watching fox news and Saints football. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Mel Collins (Terri Ann) of Baton Rouge, Brenda Collins Bellemin (Carl) of Baton Rouge, Gayle Collins O'Brien (Michael) of Houston, TX., and Lori Collins Frick (Tom) of Denham Springs, sisters, Billie Beard (Jackie) and Vicki Socia (David) all of Big Cane, grandchildren, Brandon Bellemin (Racheal), Jeremy Bellemin, Sara Cowling (Nick), Hannah O'Donnell (Ian), Claudie O'Brien, Jack Collins, Ross Collins, Taylor Frick, Lukas Frick, great grandchildren, Ava Grace Bellemin, John Evans Bellemin, and Nora Cowling and sister-in-law, Alicia Fogleman.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Jack O. Collins, brother, Floyd C. Fogleman, parents, Floyd and Ethel Gautreaux Fogleman.

The family requests visitation be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
