Port Barre– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dora Taylor Hollier on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the Mass. Reader will be Bridgette Wyble. Rite of Committal will take place at St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Dora, a native and resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest at the age 94, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Calcutta House in Lafayette surrounded by her loving family.
Dora absolutely loved spending time outdoors. She enjoyed tending to her garden and curling up with a good book. Dora cherished spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dora is survived by her son, Tommy J. Hollier and wife, Faye; daughter, Sue H. Broussard; grandchildren, Blake Hollier, Cade Hollier and Sara Savoie; great-grandchildren, Blake Savoie, Drake Savoie, Aubrey Hollier, Reed Hollier and Hayes Hollier; and step-grandchildren, Gavin Ivester and Jaxson Ivester.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Hilbert Hollier; brothers, Donald Taylor and Eugene Roy Taylor; sisters, Kathleen Taylor and Delores Taylor; and parents, Louis Taylor, Jr. and Eleanor Savoie Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. by Mike and Betty Wheaton.
