OPELOUSAS- A Private Graveside Service will be held for Donovan Scott Soileau at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Monsignor Keith Derouen will conduct the service.
Donovan, age 36, a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020.
Donovan loved his family. His children Eli and Evie were his pride and joy. He loved cooking, four wheel riding, listening to music, helping people and visiting with family and friends. He easily made friends and was easy to talk to. His smile was contagious. He worked as a pipefitter for many years. He was very generous and kind. He made a decision a long time age to be an organ donor, and his request was honored. Because of his generosity, many people’s lives will be changed.
He is survived by his children, Eli Scott Soileau, Evie Soileau, and their mother, Charli Andrus Hazel. His parents, Darryl and Liz Zerangue, affectionately know as Uncle Darryl and Nanny, and his brothers, Tim (Whitney) and Kevin Zerangue. He is also survived by his father, Bryan Soileau and wife, Cindy, sisters, Samantha Moliason, Katie Soileau, and Emily Hulan, step sister, Amanda Duhon, and step brother, Brandon Duhon. His grandparents, Curtis and Anna Belle Bertrand Soileau and Mona Fruge Glasscock. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Monica D. Glasscock, his brother, Chadwick J. Soileau and his grandfather, Seeman Glasscock, Jr.
His family is heartbroken by his sudden death and take comfort that he is now with the Lord and all his troubles and fears are gone.
