Donald Harmon

OpelousasA funeral service for Donald C. Harmon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel, Fr. Jim Brady will officiate the service.

Donald was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 87. He loved hunting, taking care of the family farm, and working in the Texaco Oil Fields.

Survivors include his children, Dr. Richard Harmon and his wife, Pam of Opelousas, Gary Harmon and his wife, Brandi of Opelousas, and Brenda Bennett and her husband, Robert of Livingston, ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Tujaque Harmon, his wife, Joanne Richard Harmon, son, David Harmon.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 1, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Saturday, the funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
