Dona Marks

Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA, for Mr. Dona Dieu ToTo Marks. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Barre, LA.

Father Daniel Picard will be the Celebrant of the Mass. A full Military Service will be conducted at the Cemetery by the U.S. Army and the ReedDavis Honor guard of Port Barre. A VFW Service will take place in the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

Mr. ToTo was born in the Pecaniere area and spent most of his life in Port Barre.
He passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville at the age of 83.

ToTo served our Country in the U.S. Army and then returned to the Port Barre area and worked as a tool pusher in the oilfield until retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He also enjoyed dancing, cooking, hunting, fishing and listening to French Music. He is going to be sadly missed by all. ToTo was a member of the American Legion Post 334 and the Lions Club of Port Barre.

ToTo is survived by his son, Kenneth Marks and wife, Sharon of Port Barre daughter, Brenda Marks Stagg and husband, Michael of Port Barre brothers, Percy Marks of Port Barre and Floyd Marks of Leonville five grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren, and a very special friend, Neva Marks.

ToTo was preceded in death by his first wife, Mamie Richard Marks second wife, Lucille Marks parents, Theophile and Azalie Stelly Marks daughter, Vickie Marie Marks and sisters, Effie Richard, Eula Richard, Theresa Jones, Georgia Langlois.

Pallbearers will be Scott Stagg, Kenny Marks, Logan Kartchner, Lee Breaux, Dustin Breaux, Matthew OConnor, Dylan Breaux, and Layne Stelly.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville for their wonderful care given to Mr. ToTo during his stay.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 3:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m until 10:45 a.m in the funeral home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
