Diana Broussard

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Mrs. Diana Marks Broussard. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Father Kenneth Domingue will celebrate the Mass.
Diana was a native and longtime resident of Opelousas, LA. She passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Senior Village Nursing Home at the age of 57. She worked for 20 years at The Daily World newspaper in advertisement sales. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed fishing and playing with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include two sons, Corey Broussard and wife, Jessica of Opelousas and Jeremy Broussard and fianc, Brandi Moe of Opelousas one daughter, Jamie Broussard Jeansonne and husband, Jason of Opelousas mother, Gloria Lalonde Marks of Opelousas spouse, Timothy John Broussard of Opelousas two brothers, Randal Marks of Opelousas and Michael Marks and wife, Audrey of Leonville one sister, Monica Marks Lafleur and husband, Rickey of Opelousas 11 grandchildren: Keely, Holden, Ambria, McKaine, Madison, Emma, Nathan, Claire, Blasyn, Evan, and Lola and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Joe Marks.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, April 29, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
