Dessie Speyrer

Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Durene Speyrer, age 63, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre, LA. Interment will follow in the Prairie Ronde Cemetery.
Dessie was born in Jonesville, LA, and was a resident of Port Barre. She died on Friday, April 1, 2011, at her home.
She enjoyed going fishing, gardening, and doing crafts especially painting. She also loved spending time visiting with her family and friends. She was a wonderful and loving wife, and a very devoted mother, sister, aunt, friend, and grandmother and greatgrandmother.
Survivors include her spouse, Marvin Buller of Port Barre three sons: Lloyd Edward Eddie Speyrer, Jr. and wife, Kimberly of Youngsville Eulos Daniel Danny Speyrer and wife, Suzanne of Port Barre William Will Sean Speyrer and wife, Anne of New Mexico two daughters: Melissa Missy Lea Chelette and husband, Jacob of Grand Prairie and Dorothy Alease Soileau and husband, Jeff of Opelousas one brother, LaRue Denton Coleman of Houston, Texas four sisters: Eulos Lea Guidry of Lafayette Lois Ann Crowe of Baton Rouge Nettie Bell Messmer of Dallas, Texas and Ruth Marie Finch of Mamou 18 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Edward Speyrer, Sr. her parents, Eulos Denton Coleman and Dorothy Lea McCready Coleman and one grandson, Shannon Reppond, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Bubba Sylvester, Mark Speyrer, Dakota Delozier, Seth Reppond, Logan Reppond, and Gabriel Speyrer. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Soileau and Kaleb Speyrer.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, April 4, 2011, from noon until 10 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
