Derrick Dupuis

PORT BARRE – A Celebration of Life will be held for Derrick “Bull” Cliff Poulan Dupuis on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.

Derrick “Bull”, age 42, a native and resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Derrick “Bull” enjoyed cooking and enjoying a good homecooked meal with family and friends. He also loved being outdoors, going crabbing and hunting. Derrick “Bull” also loved traveling, trying his luck at the casino, and playing Bingo. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Derrick “Bull” is survived by his wife, Julie Reed Dupuis; mother Leah Dupuis; father, Noah Dupuis; stepsons, Ethan and Nolan Fourrier; half-sister, Hailey Dupuis; step-brother, Jim Carriere and wife, Melanie; step-sister, Lana Nezat and husband, Jared; nieces and nephews, Hannah Smith and husband, Cole and their son, Levi; Erin Carrier and partner, Chase Grimmet, Allie Carriere and partner, Madison Carter, Trey Carriere, Lannie Vidrine, Hayes Nezat and Harper Nezat.

Derrick “Bull” is preceded in death by his step father; Jimmy Carriere, Sr.; and grandparents, Cliff Nations and Olga Marks Benson.
