Port Barre Funeral services for Delphine Lagrange, age 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011, with a service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Old Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Brother Larry will recite the service.
Delphine was a native and a long time resident of Port Barre. She died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System.

Survivors include her children Howard Phillips and wife, Betty of Arnaudville, Michael Fitzgerald and wife, Faye of Lavonia, LA., and Pearl Phillips of Branch, LA., sisters Lellia Robin and her husband, John of Port Barre, and Lorena Arnaud and her husband, Myo of Port Barre, eight grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Louisiana Doucet Leger, her husband, Lloyd Lagrange, her son Willie Guidroz, two sisters, and three brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, April 28, 2011, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. On Friday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
