Della Meyer

OPELOUSAS – A Private Memorial service for Mrs. Della Mcintyre Meyer will be held at a later date.

Della, age 73, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Della loved being outdoors working on her landscaping, tending to her plants, and gardening. Della cherished time spent with her family the most; she was especially proud of her granddaughter, Alexandra who graduated from ULL this year. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Della is survived by her husband of 33 years, Eugene Meyer, Jr.; sons, Ronald Dufour and Christopher Dufour; sibilings, Fran Smith and Richard Whition; grandchildren, Alexandra Dufour, Christina Dufour, Abigail Dufour and Josh Dufour; and her pack of beloved fur babies.

Della is preceded in death by her parents, Cleon Mcintyre and Gladys Best Mcintyre; and brother, Michael Mcintyre.
