Palmetto Funeral services for Mrs. Debra Ponthieux Luneau, age 51, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, in the Palmetto United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Palmetto Methodist Cemetery.
Rev. Pam Roy will officiate the services.
Mrs. Debra was a longtime resident of Palmetto. She died on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at her residence.
She enjoyed playing Bouree, going to the casino, and spending time visiting with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Menard Luneau of Palmetto three sons, Brock Waldrop and wife, Tayra of Palmetto Lance Luneau and wife, Lynne of Palmetto Derek Luneau and wife, Angela of Palmetto one daughter, Debra Lynn Coulon and husband, David Coulon, Sr. of Palmetto three brothers, Paul Ponthieux of Krotz Springs George June Bug Ponthieux of Jarreau and Michael Mike Ponthieux of Krotz Springs two sisters, Betty Jane Tromblay of Opelousas and Carol Genusa of Fordoche and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Landry Ponthieux and Katie Clark Ponthieux brother, George Alton Boy Ponthieux and sister, Kathy Marie Disotell.
Pallbearers will be Paul Genusa, Nicholas St. Romain, Nickolas Stelly, Bufford Ledoux, Ricky Lil Ricky St. Romain, and Chuck Troph.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Palmetto United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, beginning at 8 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
