Davis Brown,,. Jr

Opelousas -A Mass of Christian Burial for Davis C. Brown, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Fr. James Nguyen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.

Davis was a resident of Palmetto, died on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home, at the age of 55. He loved his horses, Rodeoing and loved doing things with his family and his adopted family as well.

Davis is survived by his loving wife, of 34 years, Beth Vidrine Brown of Palmetto, children, Davis "Chris" Brown and his wife, Amy of Lewisburg, Blake Brown and his wife, Brittany of Leonville, Marcus Brown of Port Barre, Joseph Brown of Palmetto, Beverly Brown of Port Barre, Sarah Brown of Palmettto, and AnnMarie Brown of Palmetto, sisters, Brenda Ducote, and her husband, Phil of Cottonport, Glenda Spivey and her husband, Dan of Geismar, Linda Brown of Morrow, Belinda Brown of Port Allen and Melinda Kidder and her husband Eugene of Hessmer, grandchildren, Kaleb, Clayton, and Anna Brown; Tristin, Aubree, and Brayden Brown; and Addison Brown.

Davis was preceded in death by parents, Davis, Sr. and Joyce Brown, his maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church Hall in Palmetto.

A Rosary service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Thomas Catholic Church on Wednesday evening.
