Chase was born on September 20, 1993 to David and Debbie Zerangue and was the baby of their four children. He had a special way with each of his siblings, but one thing they all shared was a love for sports. Growing up, while their parents were working, they competed every day in a game of sock ball. Chase was a sports fanatic, loved LSU and the Denver Broncos; he was a walking sports encyclopedia. In high school, Chase was named 1st team All District doing what he loved most, pitching. Baseball and football were his favorite sports; Chase could be asked anything about any sport, and he had the answer. Chase’s pride and joy was Olivia, his daughter. Chase enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Growing up, Chase was known to his family as “Bubba” and “Bug”, but in school he was known as “Coozie”. Chase had big, beautiful blue eyes and that's how he got the nickname “Bug”. Years later, his senior year at OC, he was voted for Betty Davis eyes. After high school Chase continued on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from McNeese State University. He was loved by all those who knew him and he touched the lives of so many.
