Opelousas-Funeral services for David Lloyd Thomas, Jr., age 49, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.

Father Austin Leger will officiate the services.

He was a native and life-long resident of Opelousas. He died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at his residence. He was a serviceman for Entex Gas Company.

Survivors include his two sons: David Scott Thomas and Daniel Kurt Thomas; one daughter, Olivia Thomas Ortego, all of Opelousas; father, David Lloyd Thomas, Sr. of Florida; mother, Verbal LeJeune Thomas of Opelousas; one brother, Peter Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Penny Boehme of Temple, TX; and two grandchildren: Kyle Scott Thomas and Dylan Malcolm Thomas.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, October 30, 2009, from 9 p.m. until 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray the funeral expenses.
