David Ledoux, Sr.

Opelousas– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for David Clark LeDoux, Sr. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Fr. Neil Pettit will celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

David, age 56, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at his residence in Opelousas surrounded by his loving family.

David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He was dedicated to raising his farm animals and livestock. David enjoyed listening to the radio and spending time with his family and friends at cookouts. Like a true Louisiana native, he loved participating in the local Mardi Gras rides and events. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his wife, Heidi Sebastien LeDoux; son, David Clark LeDoux, Jr., and daughter-in-law to be, Julia Elizabeth Larcade; daughter, Elizabeth Paige LeDoux and significant other, Justin Michael Doherty; sisters, Christine LeDoux and Sammye LeDoux Roberie; and grandson, Rhett David LeDoux.

David is preceded in death by his parents, James Oland LeDoux and Sherry Aucoin LeDoux; paternal grandparents, Adler V. LeDoux and Mildred Moreau LeDoux; maternal grandparents, Zenon and Lita Aucoin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
