David Lanclos Iii

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. David Lanclos III, age 44, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.
David passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012, he was a resident of Opelousas. David served US Marine Corp for six years in San Diego and Hawaii as a military police man. He was a sharp shooter, enjoyed fishing, boating, running, biking, yard work and participating in Biathlon events. He loved telling jokes and making everyone around him happy. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son and brother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Michel Soumeillan Lanclos of Opelousas, his parents, David and Shirley Richard Lanclos, Jr., his children, Joshua Adam, Jordan Andrew, and Sienna Brooke Lanclos of Opelousas, brother, Robert Gene Lanclos and his companion, Brandy Lopez, sister, Janet Southall and husband, Brian, mothernlaw and fathernlaw, Rodney and Pam Soumeillan, of Opelousas and also a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11 am until 10 pm on Wednesday and will reopen on Thursday morning at 8 am until time of service at 10:30. A Rosary service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
