David Hutchins

Port Barre – A Funeral Service will be held for David Lee Hutchins on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service; the rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service.

David entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the age of 63, at Opelousas General Health System surrounded by his family.

David was an avid hunter and fishman; he enjoyed camping and riding in his boat. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Joseph Hutchins and wife, Anita of St. Genevieve, Missouri; daughter, Angela Hutchins of Port Barre; brothers, Edward Hutchins and wife, Marie and Ronald Hutchins and wife, Donna Sue all of Port Barre; sisters, Lenora Sylvester and husband, Wayne of Grand Prairie, Margaret Ann Fontenot and husband, Steve of Port Barre and Liz Ferguson and husband, Lynn of Port Barre; 6 grandchildren, Macie Allgire, Aiden Allgire, Aubrey Melching, Paighton Hebert, Kadence Hutchins and Ameliah Hutchins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edison Joseph and Hazel Marie Hutchins.
