Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 for Ms. Darabell Lejeune in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Deacon Jerome Collins will officiate the service. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell.

Ms. Darabell Lejeune, age 84 and resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Ms. Darabell lived to serve the Lord. She loved being the center attention, dancing and singing just to make people smile. Darabell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Amynthe Savoie Lejeune; sisters, Lisa Theriot, Bonnie Bordelon, Belva Mouton, Mary Jagneaux and Loretta Ortego; and brother, Norris Lejeune.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Ortego, Russell Ortego, Timmy Ortego, James Castania, Cody Soileau and Mike Faul.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff at Prompt Succor Nursing Home for their compassionate care over the last nine years; and also to the staff at Heart of Hospice.
