Dana Barron

Port BarreFuneral services for Dana Elizabeth Barron will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, in First Baptist Church of Port Barre, LA. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rev. Benji Richard will officiate the services.
Dana was a native and a resident of Port Barre. She passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System. She worked in the food service industry for many years. She enjoyed mud riding and four wheeler riding, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. Dana gave in death as she gave in life. Dana was an organ and tissue donor and will always be honored by her wonderful gift.
Survivors include her son, Ty Hudson of Opelousas her daughters, Logan Hudson of Port Barre and Cameron Hudson of Opelousas her parents, Dale Barron and Cindy David Barron of Port Barre three sisters, Regina Barron of Port Barre Candis Barron Boudreaux and husband, Deon of Port Barre and Summier Barron of Port Barre nieces and nephews, Ethan Boudreaux, Kadence KK Boudreaux, and Isabelle Izzy Boudreaux and her godchild, Travis Lanclos of Lawtell.
She was preceeded in death by maternal grandparents, Claude David and Mabel paternal grandparents, Lennis Barron and Bernice Bernie special friend, Kenneth Credeur and Paran, Daniel David.
Pallbearers will be Ty Hudson, Deon Boudreaux, Marshall Bubba Barron, Travis Lanclos, Trent Barron, and Brennan LaFleur. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Boudreaux and Lane Quebedeaux.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family is requesting that donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses or to LOPA lopa.org.
Visiting hours will be held in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Friday, December 19, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A Prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
