Dale Britt

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dale D.J. Britt at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery. Rev. MSGR. Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.

Dale was a longtime resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the age of 92.

Survivors include children, Dale Raymond Britt, of Sevierville, TN., Fred Britt and his wife, Judith of Moneta, Virginia, Glenn Britt of Houston, TX., Matthew Britt and his wife, Phyllis of Opelousas, Janet Burleigh of Grand Prairie, Barbara Britt of Opelousas, Patricia Waldron of Mobile, Al., Catherine Britt of Opelousas, Alice Mitchel of Shreveport and Rose Ann Schmidt of Katy, TX., twenty one grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aylmer Britt and May Tate, wife, Melba Rose McMillan Britt, brother, Wayne Britt, and great grand daughter, Megan Ide.

A visitation will follow after rosary.

A Rosary service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
