Curley Joseph Lanclos
Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Curley Joseph Lanclos, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Msgr. Romero will conduct the Mass.
Mr. Curley, a native of Notleyville, LA and a long-time resident of Opelousas, died at 5:34 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System.
Mr. Curley was a retired policeman with the Opelousas Police Department with over 18 years of service. After his retirement, he went to work for LouAna Foods. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Velma Folks Lanclos of Opelousas; three sons: Ritchie Paul Lanclos and wife, Courtney of Mandeville; Keith James Lanclos and wife, Donna of Port Barre; and Mark Christopher Lanclos and wife, Dawn of Leonville; two daughters: Michelle Renee Lanclos Wiltz and husband, Paul of Parks; and Kelly Elizabeth Lanclos Crosier and husband, Kevin of Columbia, Illinois; one brother, Wilson Lanclos and wife, Carol of North Aurora, Illinois; and one sister, Florence Richard and husband, Charles of North Aurora, Illinois; and his father-In-law, Ivory Folks and wife, Dora Jane Folks of Opelousas. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Emilie, Claire, Brennan, Bailee, Dawson, Amaryllis, Lauren and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by one son, Scotty Wayne Lanclos; and his parents: Dudley and Mable Thomas Lanclos.
