Opelousas Funeral services for Craig James Dupre, age 52, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010, with a funeral service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.

Craig was a residence of Port Barre. He died on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at his residence. He was a loving son, father, uncle, brother, that enjoyed fishing when ever possible.

Survivors include his mother Della Young Chatman, one daughter, Nicole Dupre Ortego, and husband Willie of Ark., one brother, Lynden Dupre of Prairie Ronde, two sisters Beryl Comier and husband Jerry of Lafayette, and Norma Schexnayder and husband Arthur of New Iberia, LA. three grandchildren and also several nices and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Chatman Dupre.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, from 3p.m. until 9 p.m. On Thursday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30.
