Corrine Roberts

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Corrine Simons Roberts, age 80, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Rev. Roy Baker will officiate the services.
Mrs. Corrine was a native of Chatham and was a longtime resident of Opelousas. She died on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro, LA. She was a Nursing Assistant for many years. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, George Grady Roberts, Jr. and wife, Darlene of Deville two daughters, Vickie Roberts Richard and husband, Micky of Opelousas and Sheila Roberts Deshotels and husband, Charles of Opelousas nine grandchildren: Travis, Justin, Kyle, and Devin Roberts Toni Bardo, Kayla and Tyler Deshotels Michael Richard and wife, Sierra and Brandon Richard and three greatgrandchildren: Karma Bardo, Braxton Roberts, and Ava Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Grady Roberts, Sr. one son, William Fred Roberts her parents, William Pierce Simons and Lula Broom Simons two brothers, J. T. Simons one sister, Myrtle Simons and one grandchild, Aaron Smith.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, December 26, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
