Corey Doucet, Sr.

OpelousasFuneral services for Corey Lane Doucet, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Louis Charrier, Pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate the service.
Corey was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the age of 32. Corey enjoyed hunting, fishing and frogging. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Amanda Doucet of Opelousas his mother, Celeste Landry Martin of Washington and partner, Felix Torres of Opelousas his father, Alvin Doucet, Jr. of Port Barre children, Corey Lane Doucet, Jr. and Abby Doucet of Opelousas brothers, Jared Doucet of Port Barre and Derek Landry of Opelousas his grandmother, Diana Sidwell of Mamou and his fatherinlaw, Kevin Briscoe, Sr. of Port Barre.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Pop Daylon Sidwell and his motherinlaw, Linda Briscoe.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Briscoe, Sr., Kevin Briscoe, Jr., Jared Doucet, Dustin Sidwell, Troy Landry, and Keith Morgan.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, August 3, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Monday, the funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
