Opelousas- A Funeral service will be held for Conrad Richard on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.
Conrad Richard, known for his passion as a Landscaping Designer and his profound love for history, has peacefully passed away at his home He was born in Eunice on October 31, 1951
Conrad dedicated his life to the art of landscaping design, combining his degree in art and history to create breathtaking outdoor spaces. His enthusiasm for history was infectious, and he always enjoyed engaging in conversations about the past.
Apart from his professional pursuits, Conrad found joy in various hobbies. He liked watching jeopardy, doing puzzles, was a wonderful chess player, a wonderful photographer also taught Sunday School and brought numerous people to know the Lord. He loved Mexican, Cajun, and seafood food. Above all, Conrad's unwavering love for life stemmed from his strong faith in the Lord.
Conrad Richard is survived by his sister, Susan Higginbotham of Opelousas, and his companion, Linda Way of Opelousas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Burley and Rena Mae Richard, as well as his brother-in-law, O'Neal Higginbotham. Pallbearers are Patrick Thibodeaux, Adam Higginbotham, Adam Smith, Chase Cline, Kerry Comeaux & Bailey Hanks.
Conrad will be remembered not only for his artistic talents and intellectual curiosity but also for the warmth and kindness he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
