Opelousas Funeral Services for Clinton Clay Paul Fitzgerald, age 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and Interment will follow in the St. Leo Mausoleum. Re. Lonnie Budd will conduct the Services.

Clinton was a resident of Senior Village Nursing Home where passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He loved fishing play with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Keith Fitzgerald and his wife, Mindy of Opelousas, John Clyde Fitzgerald of Morgan City, Catherine Fitzgerald of New Iberia, Vanessa Dischler and her husband, Mark of Eunice, Melissa Dischler of Eunice, Bridget Fitzgerald of Vatican, and Jennifer Pickett of Carencro, sister, Virginia Sis Lanclos of Opelousas, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Stelly Fitzgerald, his parents, Leonard and Virginia Perroux Fitzgerald, brothers, Alex, Frank, William, Ernest and Lennett Fitzgerald, sisters, Beullah Deviller, Isabella Bergeron, Inez Castille, Denez Credeur, Naomi Greco, Estelle Robin, one granddaughter, Krista Fitzgerald.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, December 6, 2014, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Senior Village Nursing Home and there staff for the care that was provided to Clinton during his stay.
