Clayton Luke Bolfer
Opelousas Funeral services for Clayton Luke Bolfer, age 22 months, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Academy of Sacred Heart Chapel in Grand Coteau. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Lafayette.
Father Tom Madden will celebrate the Mass.
Clayton Luke was a resident of Sunset. He died on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Lafayette General Hospital.
Clayton Luke was a happy child whose smiles and sweet laughter won the hearts of all his family and friends. He loved his dad and mom of course, and he shrieked with laughter when he laid eyes on his sister, Hannah and his Nana, Kim. Among his favorite TV shows were Blues Clues, Diago, Wonder Pets and Wheel of Fortune.
Survivors include his parents: James and Sarah Babineaux Bolfer , one sister Hannah Elizabeth Bolfer, his maternal grandmother Cynthia Babineaux all of Sunset, his paternal grandfather James A. Bolfer, of Lafayette, great grandparents James and Ethel Brown, of Ville Platte, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Vickie Bolfer, maternal grandfather Clayton Babineaux, and one cousin, Shaun Speight.
Pallbearers will be Cody Bolfer, James A. Bolfer, Ted LeDoux, and Fred Babineaux.
Readers will be Gayle LeDoux, Suzanne Bergeron and Michelle Mixon.
Gift Bearer will be Kim Andrus and Toni Bolfer.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, June 6, 2010, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
