Clarice Ard

Opelousas– A Funeral Service will be held for Clarice Ard on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas; visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Keith Davidson will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.

Clarice, age 86, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Tri-Community Nursing Home.

Clarice was born in Mississippi and after starting her family they moved about the country; but the one place she always held dear was Ellijay, Georgia. She made many special friends throughout her time there and always considered it home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Clarice is survived by her children, Sharon “Kay” Adams and husband, Dennis, William “Will” Ard and wife, Gaylene Sitler Ard, Nancy Walsingham and husband, Steve; sister, Gene Bonnette; grandchildren, Dameion Goss, Kayla Little, Justin Ard, Jensa Beese, Tara Walsingham, Brett Walsingham; 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Clarice is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ard; parents, Alphonse and Josephine Bonnette; and a host of siblings.
