Opelousas- Memorial services for Christina M. Pellerin, age 94, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Christina Pellerin passed away on July 6, 2009, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville, LA. She was a native of Sunset, Louisiana. Mrs. Christina was a seamstress at Tot N Teen in Opelousas, LA. She later cared for her elderly parents, ailing husband, daughter-in-law and sister, while maintaining a home and property especially her yard, garden and flower beds. She was always there to bring one of her ten grandchildren to the doctor or specialist. She cared for her sister and visited many nursing home friends bringing them special cakes and cookies.

She is survived by one son, Harold James Pellerin and significant other, Wendy Thibodeaux of Port Barre; ten grandchildren and their spouses: Debra Ray Castille of Eunice; Cathy Richard Hebert of Brusly; David Camille Pellerin of Ville Platte; Elizabeth Derr McElwee of Baton Rouge; Peggy Foster Ross of Opelousas; Ted Annette Pellerin of New Iberia; Douglas Karen Pellerin of Leonville; Tina Terry Crane of Houston, TX; Sandra Jamey Kelly of Opelousas; and Melissa Ricky Fontenot of Arnaudville; 24 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Ned A. Pellerin; parents, Jules and Ada Miller; sister, Evalina Miller; daughter-in-law, Madeline Pellerin; and great grandson, Eric Pellerin.
