Christa Dimonde

Opelousas-Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel for Christa Dimonde. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the service. Rite of Committal and Interment will be at a later date.

Christa was a resident of Opelousas, Louisiana. She died on Monday, September 19, 2016, at her home, at the age of 70. Christa was a caretaker for the elderly, and worked at the Broussard Grocery until she retired.

Christa is survived by her son, David Noel and his wife, Ramona of Georgia, daughters, Carola Gitto and her husband, Peter of Georgia, Doris Deville and her husband, Dwayne of Plaisance, and Lynn Noel of Opelousas; sister, Doris Kniesche of Germany; brother, Manfred Kniesche of Austria; grandchildren, Christian Gregg, Zachary and wife, Danielle Gregg, Jermie Noel, Drake Noel, Katlyn Deville, Emily Deville; great-grandchild, Callie Gregg; and one nephew, Jason Kniesche.

Christa was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Dimonde; parents, Herbert and Dorothea Ferschland Kniesche; brothers, Michael and Juergin Kniesche; and grandson, Robert Trent Lafleur.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
