Opelousas- Funeral service for Charles "Fan" Alphan Trouille will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Fan, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 86. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army attached to the Air Force, serving 2 years as a Line Pole Instructor. He retired after 40 years with Roy Motors. He also served as an usher at St. Landry Catholic Church. He loved working with old model cars, riding motor cycles, fishing, hunting, sports, photography, his wife, girls and grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Mrs. Birdie Leger Trouille of Opelousas; daughters, Greta Neal (Michael), Tina Dean, and Bridget Dowdy (Dee); brother, Ferdie Trouille, Jr. and sister, Mervileen Guidroz; grandchildren, Tommy, Aimee and Ben Whitley, Sean and Kaitlin Neal, Joshua, Sara, and Rachael Dean, and four great grandchildren.
Preceeded in death by his parents, Ferdie Trouille, Sr., and Wilda Soileau Trouille, and brother, Eugene "Gene" Trouille.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until time of 3:00 p.m. service.
