Charles Reaux

Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mr. Charles Chuck Samuel Reaux, age 64. Reverend Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

Charles Chuck Samuel Reaux passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Opelousas General Health System. Chuck was born in 1949 in Lafayette, LA, and was reared in the town of Port Barre. Chuck was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Port Barre High School, and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. He served in the United States Navy, stationed in Maryland, and worked in the oil field for over thirty years.

Chuck is survived by his mother Mary Elizabeth Talley Reaux of Port Barre brothers, Steven Reaux of Eunice James Reaux and wife, Helen of Port Barre and Ned Reaux and wife, Cindy of Chilton, Texas and nieces, Allison Fulop Andrus, Caryn Fulop, Lisa Fulop, Megan Reaux, Jillian Reaux, and Kathryn Reaux and nephews, Jonathan Reaux and Blaine Reaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles N. Reaux his sister, Pauline Reaux Fulop and his grandparents, James Norbert and Rose Arnaud Reaux and Sam and Mayme Pugh Talley.

Visiting hours will be observed in Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home.
