Port Barre-- Funeral service will be held for Charles Ray Mistric, Sr. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Visitation will continue Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel until time of service.

Charles, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on October 29, 1948, Charles lived a life full of love and devotion to his family, who meant the world to him.

Charles's personality was characterized by a profound love for everyone he encountered. His family was his life; he poured his heart and soul into nurturing those around him. Charles is survived by his sons, Charles "Chuck" Mistric, Jr. of Krotz Springs, Carlos Mistric (Mamie) of Port Barre, Jacque Mistric (Jenna) of Moss Bluff, and Chance Mistric (Kelli) of Opelousas. He is also survived by stepson Marcus Wyble (Ashley) of Port Barre, and Clint Wyble (Pam) of Port Barre. Along with his daughters-in-law, Shannon Fontenot of Opelousas and stepdaughter Natalie Wyble (Kendric) of Port Barre, brother, Mike Roy of Port Barre, and Cleveland Mistric (Shelia) of Port Barre, brother in law, Charlie Viola of Central, sisters, Susie Hebert (Ricky) of Port Barre, Michelle Mistric Burdofff, Cindi Doucet (Harold) of Port Barre, Dottie Smith (Marvin) of Krotz Springs, his legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Hagan (Derek) Evans, Kade (Bailey)Mistric, Gabi (Dylan) Ray, Colt Mistric, Trey (Alexis) Mistric, Recca Mistric, Joleigh Mistric, Jhett Mistric, Haydn Arabie, Kase Disotell, Cam Mistric, and Cannon Mistric, as well as five great-grandchildren who will surely carry his memory forward, step grandchildren, Lily Wyble, Lauren W. Furey, Bailey Wyble, Hudson Wyble, and Aubrey Wyble.

A man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and was a passionate fan of all sports. His hobbies not only provided him with personal enjoyment but also created lasting memories with his family, as they often joined him in these pursuits.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Guillory Mistric, who he missed dearly, as well as his father, Carlos "Bill" Mistric  (Arleen "Sis" Roy Mistric), and mother, Elsie Marie Francois Collette (A.J. Collette). He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rachal Mistric; his brother, Billy Mistric; and his sister, Tracy Viola. The absence of these dear family members left a profound mark on Charles's life, and their memory continued to inspire him.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. His spirit and generosity touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. As we celebrate the life of Charles Ray Mistric, Sr., we remember a man who exemplified what it truly means to live for family, and who embraced life with open arms and an unconditional heart.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Mistric, Chance Mistric, Jacque Mistric, Trey Mistric, Kade Mistric, Marcus Wyble.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles "Chuck" Mistric, Colt Mistric and Clint Wyble.
