Charles Kelley, Jr.

OPELOUSAS– A Funeral Service will be held for Charles “Chuck” W. Kelley, Jr. on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Fr. Ken Domingue will conduct the service.

Chuck, age 53, a resident of Arnaudville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Chuck had a great passion for art and design and dedicated his life’s work to it. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping with his family and going fishing. He could often be found either cooking or grilling up a good meal for family and friends. Chuck cherished time spent with his family especially with his grandchildren, whom he adored. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dana Lalonde Kelley; daughters, Haley Kelley and Shelby Kelley; father, Charles Kelley, Sr.; mother, Robbie Sue Griggs Landry (Duane Landry); sister, Jodi Taylor; grandchildren, Landon Stanford, Brayden Stanford, Jaden Stanford, Noah Daigle and Alaina Kelley.

Charles Jr. is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Lafayette Kelley and Alta Marie Kelley; and maternal grandparents, Robert Griggs and Avis Hudson Griggs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert. Visitation will resume on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
