Charles Janet

Port Barre - A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles John Janet will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Fth. Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Charles was a resident of Port Barre. He passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, at St. Landry Extended Care. He enjoyed making a vegetable garden and also had fruit trees that made many fruits for his family and friends. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Leblanc Janet of Port Barre, son, Daniel Janet of Port Barre, and Charlene Wagner and her husband, Frank of Port Barre, sister, Janet Guidry of Port Barre, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great grandchildren, former brother-n-law, Joe Guidry of Port Barre, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elexson and Rhoda Juneau Janet, brother, Edmond Janet.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A rosary service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
