Celeste Marie Saizon
Opelousas Funeral services for Celeste Marie Saizon, age 59, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, with a Mass in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the New St. Leo Mausoleum in Leonville.
Father Angelo Cremaldi will celebrate the Mass.
Celeste was a resident of Holy Angels School in Shreveport, LA. She joined the legion of angels on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at WillisKnighton Pierremont Health Center in Shreveport after a short illness.
Celeste was her familys angel here on earth. She brought so much happiness and love to those she spent time with. Her simple way taught others to appreciate the simplicity of life and to thank God each day for their many blessings. A friend to all at her school, her smile will surely be missed.
Survivors include her mother, Nanceli Saizon her grandmother, Florence Badeaux four siblings: Carolyn Speich and her husband, John of Houston, Texas Gene Saizon of Carencro, LA Gary Saizon and his companion, Tammy of Leonville, LA and Stephanie Guillory and her husband, Nestor Tiger of Carencro, LA. Her memory will be cherished by her nieces and nephews: Casey Carriere Alff, Sara Saizon Landry, Allison Saizon, Alex Saizon, Alexis Guillory, Savri Guillory and Amber Guillory as well as, her six great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alexis Saizon, Jr. her maternal grandfather, Francis Badeaux her paternal grandfather, Alexis Saizon, Sr. her paternal grandmother, Heloise Saizon.
Pallbearers will be Gary Saizon, Gene Saizon, Nestor Tiger Guillory, Alex Joseph Saizon, John Speich and Keith Landry.
The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Angels School for their compassion and care for Celeste over the years and her last days of life.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Wednesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
